The LBD: Festive Edition!
It’s 4 days until Christmas and 10 days until New Year's Eve and you’ve only just realised you’ve got nothing to wear?! Fear not, I’ve got you. There’s nothing quite like a little black dress (LBD) to make you feel fabulous and the best thing? We’ve all got one in our wardrobes. It’s timeless, chic, and can be styled in a million ways. But let’s be real, the magic of an LBD is in the accessories! With the right sparkle, shine, and pop of colour, your dress will go from classic to completely unforgettable. Here’s how to accessorise your LBD this party season, with a sprinkle of glam and a whole lot of fun.
Shoes:
You know how Carrie Bradshaw feels about shoes? That’s me. Shoes are the exclamation mark of any outfit. Think glittery stilettos, metallic platforms, or metallic cowboy boots. Silver or gold are fail-safe choices, but if you’re feeling daring, opt for bold jewel tones like emerald.

Zara shoes never fail for me. How amazing are these mesh slingbacks?! I love the “barely there” look of these.
My blue cowboy boots from Annie’s Ibiza are probably my most worn and asked about shoes that I own. Unfortunately, the blue is currently not available, but you can get the same shoe in silver! These are shoes for life, and you will not regret this investment!
These babies are giving Mui Mui on a budget. These are so perfect for NYE as the platform will allow you to keep dancing all night long!
Bags:
When it comes to your bag, think small but mighty. A glitzy clutch or mini bag is all you need. Look for embellishments like sequins, glitter, or mirror details that catch the light and make your LBD shine brighter.

I love chainmail. It gives me early 2000s Paris Hilton. I love this twist on the statement chainmail with the metallic colouring.
Ok, I just had to include something silly for us… the price tag on this baby is just crazy but I love what this bag represents. Something fun and a statement! Adding to my “if I won the lottery” wish list.
This bag in every colour is the dream but for me, there’s just something about that POP of red! My sister bought the silver one for her wedding and I’ve been eyeing it up ever since… what are sisters for right?!
Jewellery
You can never have too much sparkle during the holidays (or ever!)! If your LBD is simple, go big with statement earrings or a chunky vintage necklace. For more detailed dresses, opt for sleek hoops or a dainty layered chain. Don’t forget a stack of shimmering bracelets or some statement rings.

M&S is another high street go to for jewellery for me. How fab are these statement cuffs? They look so expensive but are very budget friendly.
Lipstick
You know I could talk to you about party makeup all day long (check out my Instagram for some good party tutorials!) but I think my most important piece of makeup for your LBD look is lipstick. A classic red is always a winner, but don’t shy away from deep berry tones or even a bold fuchsia. Pair with glowing skin and a soft smoky eye for that “I didn’t try too hard, but I still look amazing” vibe.
One of my favourite reds of all time – this will stay in place all night without feeling dry.

Eyes
Ok guys, I hear you, you’re not a lipstick lover? Don’t worry I’ve included a few of my favourite sparkly eye products.
This liner is the dream. It is so easy to apply and lifts any look. Line your lids with this and alllll eyes will be on you girl!
Lid Lustre in every single colour please. This eyeshadow by VB is the most amazing crystal infused formula ever. A little bit goes a long way to creating the most incredible look.
Hair Accessories
A Good Squish scrunchie will be something you will love forever. For me, the biggest size is THE best. It’s such a statement piece. I still get compliments every single time I wear any of mine (I have a tartan and a red one… Christmasy but I do wear them all year round!).
How stunning is this gold hair tie? I’ve bought two because I never want to lose this baby. So simple but elevates any look completely.
Extras
Let’s talk extras: Statement belts can define your waist and elevate the whole look and don’t you dare forget the nails! Finish with nails in metallic silver or glittery gold – because every detail matters!
Ok that’s my list of shoes, bags, jewellery and lipsticks! But just remember, the ultimate accessory to your LBD is you! Walk into the room with confidence, a big smile, and a festive spirit. That’s the kind of sparkle that’ll outshine anything else.
